17 inch, excellent condition. Wide gullet. Custom made by Rob Stuart, Sutherland (Don Stuart & Sons). This saddle is beautifully crafted with great attention to detail and top quality leather. Made to last, it took a long time to break in! Very comfortable soft deep seat. Only used on one horse and for sale as I have outgrown the saddle. Includes matching stitched stirrup leathers and two leather girths, different lengths, one never used. Matching black and grey sheepskin numnahs also available.

Hennig Dressage Saddle

Custom made in Germany, these are the “Rolls Royce” of dressage saddles and highly sought after! The very best German dressage riders including Heike Kemmer, Nadine Capellman, Ulla Salzgeber and so one are riding in Hennigs. The patented Hennig tree is specially designed to give the shoulders extra freedom with the tree points angled back away from the shoulder muscle. The gullet and flaps are also cut back which is excellent for high withered and/or wide shouldered builds. The channel is very wide to give the spine lots of room, particularly important for lateral work. Broad soft panels provide excellent weight distribution.

I bought this saddle second hand but unfortunately it doesn't fit my horse’s rather straight back. It is a 2002 model, 17.5" and the gullet is about a medium and can be adjusted by a saddler to any width. It has a really comfortable soft seat and is well balanced, lovely to ride in, I'm very disappointed at having to sell it! For a new Hennig you can expect to pay between $6000 and $8000. This saddle is priced at $3300
